For those of you that have been running GoldFish on Vista for awhile you know that you need to provide the application the ability to write to the application directory, which is you install in the default directory that is C:\Program Files\GoldFishNet.   This requires that you do one of the following:

  1. Install GoldFish in a different directory other then program files.  Please note you can install GoldFish anywhere.  We have several people that have been running it off a USB drive for years.
  2. Elevate the application and/or user rights

As part of the GoldFish 3.0 project we now allow you to configure this to run under Vista by default.  For those of you who still want everything on your USB drive and carry your configuration files with you, no problem you simply have to update the configuration screen or file and restart the application.

Look for more information on this shortly.
